SPONSORING A PET

Many of the rescue animals we take in have little or no vet care done to them prior to coming to us. Safe Haven fully vets each animal before it leaves our rescue. This includes spaying/neutering, all shots appropriate for the pets age, heartworm/lyme and fecal tests are done. In most cases we also Frontline for fleas & ticks and start dogs on heartworm preventatives. This is just the routine stuff. We have treated things like heartworm, lyme disease and parvo. Treatment for these can be $300 to $500 and more.

The costs to bring our rescues up to this standard does not come cheaply and a lot of times our adoption fee does not cover the money spent on that animal.

To help defray our costs you can sponsor a pet. The cost is just $25 per month for as long as the animal is with us. This little bit can make a HUGE difference to a small rescue. It is the perfect way for you to help an animal if you are not able to adopt or foster.
